Poster ExhibitionWe have decided to take one step forward and put aside the ecology insufficient technologies which require waste amounts of resources. That is why we are introducing a digital imaging device which is allowing us to intuitively browse posters and obtain all the information in one touch screen managed digital point. By introducing this device we no longer require hundreds of meters of printed materials. Not only do the printed materials pollute our planet but also require each author of the poster to waste money on the process of printing and face the author with the task of delivering the poster undamaged to the congress site. Our solution is allowing us to have all the posters sent in a digital form and prepared for showing. That means we have better control over the materials sent and received.
By touching the display we are able to navigate the collection of works with ease, as the posters are divided in two groups and then alphabetically sorted. This means no more exhausting walking and searching, but simply selecting the poster you would like to view.
We have also incorporated a zoom function which gives us a choice of magnifying the posters, making it easier to see all the detail.
By releasing the device and thus allowing the automated system to kick in, the posters start looping in a predefined fashion.
Our plans for the EOS2010 include 20 of these devices. This would require much less space and faster indexing due to one gather point.
